Our journey with Heart FM began in early 2013. At the time, they had just entered the realm of digital by signing up to the relevant social media platforms. They were also unable to update their website content, real-time and aligned to on-air programming. In an effort to grow their audience, it was important to optimise their current website by reviewing the user experience, technical debt, SEO and available content.
Phase one included stabilising the existing platform, optimising SEO and implanting conversion optimisation. User accounts were then created and User Guides provided to assist the team with being in control of their online content. They were given first-hand training on the system administration and workshops on how best to engage on the platforms. Facebook and Twitter were the primary focus for the brand at the time and in a space of 18 months, their following grew tremendously respectively ie. from 16 000 to 100 000 on Facebook alone.
Our graphic design team played a huge role in the corporate identity change which seen brand collateral transform from “nightlife” to “Family-friendly” with a simple, fresh and clean design. These designs included company documents, business cards, email signatures, billboards, summer campaigns, event logos, canvas, desktop wallpapers, event invitations, show-specific content, print ads and more.
As the brand evolved, online advertising became an increased focus aligned to their business objective. Airborne provide guidance on best practices and assisted their sales tea. Today, online advertising is built into their campaign offerings to clients both Cape Town-based and national.
